At the time, there were several member companies that were severely impacted. The committee was started by George Ebersold, Tom Tananbaum Inc., Orlando and Bob Mahoney, B&Z Custom Sheet Metal Inc., Orlando. Over the life of the committee, I was a member for most of the duration, and served as chair or co-chair for a short period. The original goal was to get in front of Florida Emergency Management to provide a resource of roofing contractors for consumers to call after a natural disaster, as well as provide member companies resources to prepare their companies for natural disasters.
