What is the Convention?

FRSA’s Convention and Expo run concurrently and have been an annual event for 102 years. This year’s Convention consists of educational seminars, auction, golf, fishing, bowling and clay shooting tournaments, the Welcome Reception, the Business Lunch and the FRSA Officer Installation Dinner.

What is the Expo?

The Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo is a trade show where industry vendors display their products, services and equipment and roofing and sheet metal professional contractors gather to learn about the latest technologies and to network with fellow industry representatives.

Where are the Convention & Expo taking place?

The event is taking place at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center (Halls A-E) in Kissimmee, FL. 

What are the hours for the Expo?

Thursday, June 6 – 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Friday, June 7 – 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

What is the cost to attend the Expo?

The Expo is free to attend for contractors in the roofing and sheet metal industry. Complimentary badges will be available at www.floridaroof.com. For non-exhibiting manufacturers, distributors and suppliers there is a $295 fee per representative and $995 for industry service providers.

Do exhibitors need to purchase tickets?

No, exhibitors only need a complimentary badge to access the show floor but are welcome to purchase tickets for any social events or seminars they would like to attend.

How do I make a hotel reservation?

The host hotel is the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center - Kissimmee, FL. More information will be available as we get closer to the show dates.

Is parking available?

Yes, you can self-park at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center for a discounted rate of $22.80 plus tax per day. Be sure to mention FRSA at check-out to receive this rate. Valet parking is available for $55 plus tax per day.

Can children attend the Expo?

Yes, but badges will not be issued to any attendee under 18 years of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are NOT permitted on the show floor during exhibitor move-in or move-out. 

Do you have events for the family?

Yes! There are Ladies’ Program events on Thursday and Friday and Kids’ Program events from Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon.

What is the cost to attend the Convention?

All events are available a la carte and the price will depend on purchase date. You may also purchase individual tickets for the sports tournaments on Wednesday. Tickets must be purchased to attend all FRSA seminars. Individual tickets can be purchased when registering for the event at www.floridaroof.com and clicking on the Register Now banner. 

Where can I buy tickets?

You are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time by registering online at www.floridaroof.com. If available, tickets may be purchased onsite at FRSA’s Registration Desk located at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center (Rotunda Level 1).

What is the cost to attend the educational seminars?

 A ticket is required for all seminars. Please keep in mind that tickets are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. More information will be available as we get closer to the show dates.

What is an Expo Lunch voucher?

When you pick up your badges and any tickets you have purchased, you will also receive lunch vouchers for Free Lunch on Thursday and Friday. To participate in Free Lunch days, you must present the vouchers in the Food Court on the Expo floor.

What about the sports tournaments?

We offer four different sports tournaments that will take place on Wednesday, June 5. We have a golf tournament at Falcon’s Fire Golf Course, a fishing tournament at Sunrise Marina in Port Canaveral, a clay shooting tournament at Tenoroc Shooting Range in Lakeland and new this year, we have a bowling tournament at AMF Kissimmee Lanes. To register for tournaments, visit www.floridaroof.com once registration is opened. Pricing and more information will be available as we get closer to the show dates.

Will there be a Welcome Reception this year?

Yes! FRSA will host the Welcome Reception on Wednesday, June 5. It's luau themed so come as you are.

What is the Foundation Auction?

The Foundation Auction is the primary fundraiser for the FRSA Educational & Research Foundation. Exhibitors, suppliers, members and other businesses and individuals donate products, services, gift baskets, vacations and gift certificates to help raise money for this worthy cause. The money is used to provide educational seminars throughout the year and also funds scholarships awarded each year.

Can I donate to the Foundation Auction?

Yes! A donation of any size is greatly appreciated. For more information, please contact John Hellein at 407-671-3772 ext. 123 or john@floridaroof.com.

Can I bid on items at the Auction?

Yes! The Auction will be located outside the Expo Hall in the foyer. You can see and bid on items at any time online. The Auction site opens the week before the Convention on May 31 and bidding will close at 1 pm on June 7. Go to www.floridaroof.com/items to see what is up for grabs.

I heard there is a lot of walking to be done. Is this true?

Yes! So, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. It’s a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the FRSA Registration Desk and Expo Hall, so please add a few extra minutes when you’re making your plans to attend.

What is the attire for the Convention and Expo?

Attire for the Convention, Expo and all social events is business casual. Meeting room temperatures vary, so remember to pack a sweater or light jacket.
