Who We Are

The Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) Educational and Research Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.

Founded in 1982, the goal of the Foundation is to educate the work force, management and owners of construction businesses, as well as other industry related professionals.

FRSA's Educational & Research Foundation offers a variety of ways to contribute to the industry and support industry "Excellence through Education," from Foundation Membership to Endowment and Scholarship Programs, the FRSA Educational Foundation is the largest industry-related Foundation in the Southeastern United States. With more than $435,000 provided in scholarships and new educational programming added each year, FRSA stays on the cutting-edge of industry education and quality standards.

The FRSA Educational and Research Foundation Endowment Program exists to provide donors a means to establish a legacy of giving through tax-deductible contributions for the purposes of industry research, quality education and scholarships to provide a knowledgeable pool of professionals for consumers to call upon.

By becoming a member of the FRSA Educational & Research Foundation, you are directly supporting professionalism and education within the industry. With membership levels starting as low as $75, and benefits as great as complimentary CEU's, a little membership goes a long way.


Raffle

The Foundation $5,000 Raffle. The next drawing takes place on June 6, 2025.


FRSA Educational & Research Foundation Scholarships

Since its inception, the FRSA Educational & Research Foundation has awarded more than $435,000 in scholarships. The Scholarship Program is available to assist FRSA members and their families, along with employees (and their families) of member companies. 


Continuing Education Requirements

Licensed contractors are required to earn 14 hours of continuing education credits every two years.


Auction

Many of the Foundation's activities, including the Scholarship Program, are funded by the proceeds generated by an Auction. The Auction consists of a variety of donated gifts and services, which are displayed during FRSA's Annual Convention and Expo and are also available on an online auction platform.
