Based in Central Florida, we work with a diverse clientele across industries such as municipalities, healthcare, industrial, property management, and retail chains, in partnership with third-party professionals such as architects, insurance professionals, and roofing contractors. The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Field Technician to join our team full-time. You’ll be in the field, using drones, thermal cameras, and other equipment to conduct building envelope and electrical systems inspections, plus assist in processing report deliverables.
You’ll play a critical role in gathering data and generating reports that help our clients stay ahead of major problems. Every job is different. We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and able to adapt to changing site conditions.
Responsibilities
Roof testing services
Facade testing services
Visual condition assessments
Quality assurance site visits and inspections
Electrical scans
Perform drone-based and manual inspections of commercial buildings (primarily roofs)
Operate thermal imaging and moisture detection tools
Follow tight scheduling windows; some projects (especially thermal scans) must be completed at specific times of day or night, requiring flexibility and occasional overnight hotel stays
Collect field data and document findings clearly and accurately
Work closely with our team to produce inspection reports
Communicate professionally with clients or onsite contacts when needed
Lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Maintain equipment and keep accurate logs of usage and findings
Travel throughout the state with reliable personal transportation

Based on experience
High school diploma
Central Florida
State-issued driver’s license and full-coverage vehicle insurance
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Florida
Comfort working at height and on rooftops
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to pass a background check
Basic tech and computer literacy (file management, data uploads, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and documentation habits
FAA Part 107 Drone License (must be obtained prior to hire)
Level 2 Thermographer Certification (must be completed within 6 months from hire-date)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial roofing, construction, or building inspections
Prior experience with building envelope testing, drone mapping, or IR scanning
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Microsoft Office, QGIS, Cronista, CAD programs, and image processing software
