During a train-the-trainer workshop, you will complete a 10-hour accreditation program about how to teach torch safety. Through classroom instruction and hands-on torching activities, you learn the latest industry best safety practices for torch-applied roof systems. You also learn the teaching skills needed to train others about torch safety. After successfully completing this program, you will be authorized to conduct CERTA certification training for roofing workers. Authorized trainers receive training materials, including an instructors guide and English and Spanish editions of the CERTA student manual and training video.

Participants must be proficient in the use of a roofing torch, be able to speak and read English, and have some experience training others.

“SRS Distribution Inc. held a two-day managers meeting at the FRSA Educational Foundation Training Center with approximately 45-50 attendees.  The meeting room was well lit, very clean, and provided comfortable seating.  The team at FRSA were awesome to work with and you couldn’t ask for a friendlier group!  They were very accommodating and met all of our needs - planned and last minute details!

A big “Thank You” to the FRSA team for partnering with us to make this meeting a huge success!  I will keep you in mind for organizing future meetings and look forward to working with you all again.” - Sarah Davis, SRS Distribution Inc.

"Sherwin Williams Roofing Solutions Group utilized the FRSA Educational Foundation Training Center for the inaugural Uniflex Fluid Applied Roofing Systems University Training Program.   The FRSA staff was extremely helpful in helping in our planning stages;  suggesting the number of attendees that fit comfortably, providing the warehouse area for hands on demonstrations as well as suggesting caterers in the area.  During the sessions, they accommodated our every need.  We plan to utilize their facility, professional staff, and tremendous support again this year!"

- Joe Sorrentino - Commercial Roofing Sales Training Manager SWRSG - Uniflex Fluid Applied Roofing Systems

The FRSA Training and Education Center allows access for all industry professionals including Roofing Contractors and their personnel including Installers, Architects, Consultants, Builders, Building Department Officials, Inspectors etc. so that they can be kept up to speed on industry changes as well as general information relating to products and their installation. The knowledgeable staff at the FRSA help provide a safe working environment for all that attend.” - Adrian Cooper, Boral Roofing

"The FRSA Educational Foundation Training Center was the perfect venue for our recent quarterly Safety & Quality Control Training Meeting.  The classroom was ideal for a presentation to our Florida group and all the necessary AV equipment & support was provided by FRSA which made set up quick and easy.  One of the truly unique things about the Classroom & Boardroom is that the walls are adorned with pictures both past and present of FRSA gatherings & personnel which sparked some fun conversations amongst our group.  The staff at FRSA is very accommodating and even helped to reserve and manage the catering for our group as well which allowed us to concentrate fully on the training we were conducting.  I highly recommend the FRSA Training Center and its amenities to any group large or small for their next presentation or meeting venue."

-Todd Shannon, CORE Roofing Systems, Inc.
