What is the Convention?
FRSA’s Convention and Expo run concurrently and have been an annual event for 102 years. This year’s Convention consists of educational seminars, golf, fishing, bowling and clay shooting tournaments, the Welcome Reception, the Business Lunch and the FRSA Officer Installation Dinner.

What is the Expo?
The Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo is a trade show where industry vendors display their products, services and equipment. Roofing and sheet metal professional contractors gather to learn about the latest technologies and to network with fellow industry representatives.

Where is the Expo taking place?
The event is taking place at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center (Halls A-E) in Kissimmee.

What are the hours for the Expo?
Thursday, June 6 – 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday, June 7 – 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

What is the cost to attend the Expo?
The Expo is free to attend for contractors in the roofing and sheet metal industry. Complimentary badges will be available at www.floridaroof.com. For non-exhibiting manufacturers, distributors and suppliers there is a $295 fee per representative and $995 for industry service providers.

Do exhibitors need to purchase tickets?
No, exhibitors only need a complimentary badge to access the show floor but are welcome to purchase tickets for any social events or seminars they would like to attend.

How do I make a hotel reservation?
The host hotel, the Gaylord Palms Resort, is SOLD OUT. Another room block has been reserved at Delta Hotels Marriott Celebration, located less than one mile from Gaylord Palms. Room rates are $109 plus tax per night and include resort and parking fees. For reservations, please visit www.floridaroof.com/deltaYou may want to consider using Uber or Lyft between properties to avoid parking fees at Gaylord. Unfortunately, Gaylord Palms is renovating and pulling additional hotel rooms from inventory. At this time, our waitlist is full and we are not taking additional names.

Is parking available?
Yes, you can self-park at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center for a discounted rate of $22.80 plus tax per day. Be sure to mention FRSA at check-out to receive this rate. Valet parking is available for $55 plus tax per day.

Can children attend the Expo?
Yes, but badges will not be issued to any attendee under 18 years of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are NOT permitted on the show floor during exhibitor move-in or move-out. 

Do you have events for the family?
Yes! There are Ladies’ Program events on Thursday and Friday and Kids’ Program events from Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon.

What is the cost to attend the Convention?
All events are available a la carte and the price will depend on purchase date. You may also purchase individual tickets for the sports tournaments on Wednesday. Tickets must be purchased to attend all FRSA seminars. Individual tickets can be purchased when registering for the event at www.floridaroof.com by clicking on the Register Now banner. 

Where can I buy tickets?
You are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time by registering online at www.floridaroof.com. You'll then be able to pick up your tickets in the expedited line onsite. If available, tickets may be purchased onsite at FRSA’s Registration Desk located at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center (Expo Lobby - Level 1).

What is the cost to attend the educational seminars?
On Wednesday, June 5, FRSA is partnering with Certified Contractors Network (CCN) to offer a full-day seminar, CCN Sales Bootcamp, at a very special rate. We're also offering a total of 40 seminars, designed specifically for contractors. Tickets may be purchased for individual seminars at $50 per hour. A ticket is required for all seminars. Please keep in mind that tickets are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

How do I use my lunch vouchers?
When you pick up your badges and any tickets you have purchased, you will also receive lunch vouchers for a free lunch item on Thursday and Friday. In order to participate, you must present the voucher at the register in the Food Court on the Expo floor to receive your free lunch item.

What about the sports tournaments?
We offer four different sports tournaments that will take place on Wednesday, June 5. We have a golf tournament at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club ($175 per person before May 1. $225 after), a fishing tournament at Sunrise Marina in Port Canaveral ($175 per person before May 1. $275 after), a clay shooting tournament at Tenoroc Shooting Range in Lakeland ($125 per person before May 1. $175 after) and a bowling tournament at AMF Lanes Kissimmee ($70 per person before May 1. $100 after). Will there be a Welcome Reception this year?
Yes! FRSA will host the Welcome Reception on Wednesday, June 5 in the Coastal Ballroom. Come as you are or wear Hawaiian-themed attire and enjoy complementary bars and food stations.

What is the Foundation Auction?
The Foundation Auction is the primary fundraiser for the FRSA Educational & Research Foundation. Exhibitors, suppliers, members and other businesses and individuals donate products, services, gift baskets, vacations and gift certificates to help raise money for this worthy cause. The money is used to provide educational seminars throughout the year and also funds scholarships awarded each year.

Can I donate to the Foundation Auction?

How can I bid on items at the Auction?

Yes! The Auction will be located outside the Expo Hall in the prefunction area. It will open 30 minutes before the Expo opens each day for exhibitors and remains open during Expo hours. It will close on Friday at 2:00 pm. You can see all available items and bid at any time through our online portal at www.floridaroof.com/items

I heard there is a lot of walking to be done.
Yes! So, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. It’s a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the FRSA Registration Desk and Expo Hall, so please add a few extra minutes when you’re making your plans to attend.

What is the attire for the Convention and Expo?
Attire for the Convention, Expo, seminars and Welcome Reception is business casual. Cocktail attire is recommended for the Officer Installation Dinner. Meeting room temperatures vary, so remember to pack a sweater or light jacket.
