Building Department: Permitting & Post-Storm Procedures  \n Join us for an informative dinner meeting featuring  Hank Fulmer, CBO, Deputy Building Official , and  Brad Bailey, Permitting Manager , from the  Sarasota County Building Department . \n Our discussion will focus on  new and upcoming permitting requirements , changes that may affect contractors and building professionals, and the permitting procedures that come into play  after a storm or major weather event . \n Topics will include: \n \n Recent and upcoming changes to permitting requirements and procedures \n What contractors and property owners should know when applying for permits \n Building Department procedures following a hurricane, tropical storm, or other major storm event \n Post-storm permitting, inspections, repairs, and rebuilding requirements \n Common questions and challenges encountered during the post-storm process \n An opportunity for attendees to ask questions directly of Sarasota County Building Department officials \n \n This will be a great opportunity to hear directly from the Building Department, better understand current requirements, and learn how to navigate the permitting process efficiently—particularly when dealing with storm-related repairs and reconstruction.
