Gulfeagle Supply Safety Coordinator / Safety Specialist 3-3-21


The primary responsibility is to support the Safety Department with duties including but not limited to safety administration, coordination, inspections, documentation/tracking, general safety oversight, and supporting the Safety Manager and other safety initiatives.

Associate Degree in Science (Bachelor's Degree in safety, occupational health, environmental health, and safety or equivalent preferred).
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in safety
Bilingual, English/Spanish, preferred
Must be willing and able to work as part of a team or even lead a team if the need arises.

Schedule and track safety training for new hires (i.e., onboarding) and other Gulfeagle Supply (GES) employees
Assist branch management with safety issues related to their branches under the direction of the Safety Manager.
Conduct safety inspection of the branches, DOT vehicle inspections, and job delivery sites.
Writes reports of findings and provides recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
Conduct risk assessment and hazard evaluations of the various tasks/operations performed at the branches.
Verify and process vendor invoices related to fire suppression/protection systems for the branches.
Assist with monitoring the cameras (telematics) installed in all company vehicles and provide compliance responses to the branch managers.
Suggest safety measures to reduce or eliminate safety risks.
Assist with the review of the organization's safety policies and procedures.
Review company practice ensuring compliance with the OSHA Construction Standard, the OSHSA General Industry Standard, and DOT regulations
Assist in safety committee meetings, claims meetings, and any other meeting requiring safety expertise.
Field questions from company employees and customers regarding Gulfeagle Fleet & Safety issues.
Update the Safety on SharePoint and other mediums as directed.
Monitors, records, and tracks the Branch Manager's safety bonus compliance documentation monthly.
