2023 The Faine House
The mission of The Faine House is to enrich the lives of young adults without a reliable adult. Located in a 7,000 square foot facility in Orlando, The Faine House hosts ten private bedrooms and accepts 18 to 23-year-olds into their program who do not have access to opportunity and mentorship, including people who have aged out of the foster care system. As part of the program, each young adult sets their own financial, occupational and educational goals and
participates in a curriculum designed to heal, equip and empower.
The Faine House has a trauma-informed staff and a community of volunteers, donors and regional partners. Understanding adverse childhood experiences, they create a roadmap to increased resiliency and wholeness in mind and body. The pathway to healing and financial independence is supported by a “Pod” of community mentors who provide ongoing support, an experienced staff and an array of educational and engaging activities.

2022 Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. The Foundation also honors the military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

2021 Charity of Choice - Gulf Coast Kid's House
Gulf Coast Kid's House is a children's advocacy center serving Escambia County and combining all of the professionals and resources needed for the intervention, investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases under one child-friendly facility. Child victims and their families also receive mental health counseling at the center. The goal of Gulf Coast Kid's House is to form a more collaborative response to child abuse cases so that they can improve case outcomes and minimize trauma to the children and families they serve.

2020 Charity of Choice - The Spring of Tampa Bay
The Spring's mission is to prevent domestic violence, protect victims, and promote change in lives, families and communities. Since their founding in 1977, they have provided a safe-haven and comprehensive supportive services to more than 60,000 abused adults and their children, and they've answered calls at all hours of the day and night from well over 150,000 women in crisis.
They are the Department of Children and Families (DCF) certified Domestic Violence Center for Hillsborough County (established November 1977).
The Spring is one of the largest of Florida’s 42 certified domestic violence centers, with a combined emergency shelter and transitional housing bed count of 174 beds.
In 1986 they established the first domestic violence center in the United States to have an accredited public school on an emergency shelter campus, so resident families have more options for the safety and emotional support of their children.
The Spring has been committed to serving all survivors in an abusive household, having added a small kennel on their shelter grounds to meet the needs of survivors’ pets. While in shelter, the family pets are fostered with veterinary professionals, further reducing barriers for survivors seeking shelter (established 2007).
At all times, The Spring is committed to providing the highest-quality programs and services to keep survivors and their children safe and to help them rebuild their lives.

2019 Charity of Choice - Our Daily Bread of Bradenton
Our Daily Bread of Bradenton is a community-driven organization devoted to feeding the hungry. They are supported by churches, individuals like you, support foundations, and numerous other community-oriented organizations
Organized in 1984, Our Daily Bread is a response to our community's need to feed the hungry regardless of race, color, or belief. Since then, with extremely limited resources and space, OUR DAILY BREAD has served over 2,000,000 meals to needy men, women, and children in a storefront on 14th Street West in Bradenton, seven days a week including holidays.
OUR DAILY BREAD serves an average of 250 men, women, and children daily, 364 days a year.
They also have a grocery store "Loaves and Fishes" where families can shop free once a month for food items and fresh produce. The Store has items not available from other food sources, such as peanut butter & jelly and produce. We served over 20,000 people through this program last year. No one is turned away, but in many instances, relief is only partial. Many need more than food.

2018 Charity of Choice - Sarcoma Foundation of America
The mission of the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) is to advocate for sarcoma patients by funding research and by increasing awareness about the disease. The organization raises money to privately fund grants for sarcoma researchers and conducts education and advocacy efforts on behalf of sarcoma patients.
The spark that ignited the start of the SFA was the diagnosis of then 3-year-old Jeffrey Thornton with sarcoma. His parents, Dr. Mark and Patricia Thornton, along with physician, Dr. John Brooks, were motivated to act not only to help treat his cancer but others’ as well. Grappling with the Jeffrey’s diagnosis, they found there wasn’t a national patient advocacy and research organization dedicated to sarcoma patients and their families. They sought to fill that void.
The Sarcoma Foundation of America was founded in 2000 and became recognized as a 501(c)3 organization by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in 2001.
Through these humble beginnings, the SFA has grown exponentially, and is the only national prominent charitable organization focused on the mission of finding new and better therapies to treat sarcoma. Today’s SFA has attracted thousands of members from across the nation and around the world with our work to advocate for sarcoma patients and their families and to find the cure in our time.

2017 Charity of Choice - The Fuller Center for Housing
The Fuller Center was started by a great man, Millard Fuller, who had a dream that all people would have a decent home to call their own. This great charity has many chapters all over the great USA and the world. The Central Florida Affiliate has replaced roofs for Mr. Colston, a disabled man with a handicapped child; Mrs. Sainey, an elderly widow; Rose and Marie Torres, elderly disabled widows, and many more wonderful deserving individuals. The Fuller Center also has replaced siding, repaired driveways, repaired falling ceilings, doing whatever a person may need around their home to make their last years as comfortable as possible. They have built more than 10 wheelchair ramps locally, built 10 new homes with other chapters in the Chattahoochee Valley of Georgia and Alabama, helped rebuild homes in Shreveport Louisiana after hurricane Katrina, and many other projects.
All monies raised during 2017 were donated to Florida Chapters and used locally for people in need.

2016 Charity of Choice - Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Donations to the 2016 Charity of Choice, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, totaled more than $8,000. Donations were collected from the Heads or Tails game hosted by the Young Professionals, the Affiliate Competition during Convention and Team FRSA participating in the Great Strides Walk - where we were in the Top 3 Teams for fundraising! Thank you to everyone that donated to this worthy cause.
2015 Charity of Choice - Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children
Donations to the 2015 Charity of Choice, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, totaled more than $3,600 and were used to purchase two media carts, televisions, games systems, and games for the hospital. The carts are being put to good use on a daily basis helping children cope with the difficulties of hospitalization.
