Rules of the Road
Getting Involved and Learning From the Best
Guidelines for those being mentored:
1) Recognize that the mentor is a volunteer and that their time is limited.
2) When possible, travel to meet with your mentor and arrive prepared.
3) Act in a professional ethical manner.
4) Both participants should discuss their expectations and agree on the length of involvement. Realize that a mentor may not want to mentor someone in their same area of expertise or market location.
5) Both parties should provide each other copies of workers' compensation and general liability insurance before going to work on a roof.
6) Sign FRSA's legal disclaimer and return. Click here for a copy of the disclaimer.
7) Once you've completed the program, download and complete a "Tell Us About Your Mentoring Experience!" form and send back to FRSA with your feedback.
