convention 1 Attendees can find something for everyone, beginning with the sporting events on Wednesday, which include golf, bowling and a catch-and-release fishing tournament.

The next three days are packed with informative and interesting educational seminars, geared toward the roofing and sheet metal industries. Contractors can obtain valuable C. E. (continuing education) credits needed to keep an active license in Florida. Join us for our Kick-Off Luncheon, and then help us officially open the trade show. The trade show will be open for 10.5 hours, over three days, enabling attendees maximum scheduling flexibility.

On Friday, the education continues with more top name speakers, and is followed by the FRSA Business Luncheon. The trade show opens after the luncheon, and closes at 5:00 pm, enabling attendees and exhibitors time to regroup before heading to the Friday Night Party. This has historically been a sold-out event, so don't delay in making your reservations! Tickets for this event, if available, can be purchased at the FRSA Registration Desk.

Saturday continues with more educational seminars and a seminar specifically formatted for your foremen and superintendent. Bring the crew and let FRSA educate them for free. After the seminar, they can go through the trade show for free, learning about new products and services for the industry.

Saturday evening features our gala annual Banquet and Reception, where the new FRSA officers are installed. Dinner, entertainment and an awards presentation are sure to capture the night. So be sure to make your plans now to attend - you won't want to miss out on all this fun!

To download a free ticket to the trade show, click here to download. Complete the ticket and bring it to the FRSA Registration Desk (DO NOT SEND TO FRSA) located in the lobby of the OCCC Hall WC during any of the three trade show days. We will print you out a badge good for any day of the show.

Individual events tickets may be purchased ahead of time for each of the following social events:

Thursday Kick-Off Luncheon - $55
In keeping with the convention theme, "FRSA-The Ties That Bind", sit back and listen to some of the more memorable events, stories and anecdotes in FRSA's history, and view pictures from years gone by. The Educational Foundation will also present its annual scholarship awards during this luncheon.

Friday Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon - $55
Elections for new FRSA Officers and Directors will be held, along with Life and Honorary Membership recognition, the Annual meetings of the Association, Educational Foundation, Credit Union and Self Insurers Fund, and the presentation of the Charlie Raymond Membership Award, the Earl Blank Memorial Service Award and the Bieler Family "Enthusiasm Gets It Done" Award.

Friday Night Party - A 1920's Speakeasy - sponsored by FRSA-SIF - $110
A speakeasy was an establishment which illegally sold alcoholic beverages during the period in the United States known as prohibition. The term comes from a patron's manner of ordering alcohol without raising suspicion - a bartender would tell a patron to be quiet and "speak easy". Corruption was rampant and speakeasy operators commonly bribed police to either leave them alone or give them advanced notice to any planned raids. Considered yourself warned! There'll be plenty of bootlegging and gambling, along with a full buffet, entertainment and prizes.

Saturday Night Banquet & Reception - $100
The Grand Finale of the Convention is the annual Banquet, which follows an hour-long reception. FRSA's Officers for the coming year will be installed; the President's Award presented and the prestigious Campanella Award will be bestowed upon a deserving recipient. Wrap-up this four day event with a video presentation, highlighting some of the more memorable moments at this year's convention. The evening's entertainer, comedian, humorist and impressionist extraordinaire, Jim Gossett, takes his inspiration from the events of the day, adds his special brand of magic, and delivers a hilarious rendition of your favorite late night entertainers, politicians and media personalities. The Grand Prize, $2,000 cash, will be presented to one lucky attendee, and the winner of the Educational Foundation Raffle will be selected.

Special Education Package - $300
If you want to attend just the educational programs, you may purchase a Special Education Package, which provides you with 8 hours of continuing educations.
