FRSA'S ANNUAL CONVENTION
FRSA celebrates it's 90th annual trade show and convention
"Building Balance"
June 27-30, 2012
The Peabody Hotel and Orange County Convention Center
Orlando, FL
The convention consists of four full days of education, networking, family fun, sports, friends and FRSA's highly recognized trade show, the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo.
Attendees can find something for everyone, beginning with the sporting events on Wednesday, which include a golf and a catch-and-release fishing tournament.
The next three days are packed with informative and interesting educational seminars, geared toward the roofing and sheet metal industries. Contractors can obtain valuable C. E. (continuing education) credits needed to keep an active license in Florida. Join us for our Kick-Off Luncheon, and then help us officially open the trade show. The trade show will be open for 10.5 hours, over three days, enabling attendees maximum scheduling flexibility.
On Friday, the education continues with more top name speakers, and is followed by the FRSA Business Luncheon. The trade show opens after the luncheon, and closes at 5:00 pm, enabling attendees and exhibitors time to regroup before heading to the Friday Night Theme Party. This has historically been a sold-out event, so don't delay in making your reservations! Tickets for this event can be reserved now and, if available, can be purchased at the FRSA Registration Desk.
Saturday continues with more educational seminars and a seminar specifically formatted for your foremen and superintendent. Bring the crew and let FRSA educate them for free. After the seminar, they can go through the trade show for free, learning about new products and services for the industry.
Saturday evening features our gala annual Reception and Banquet, where the new FRSA officers are installed. Dinner, entertainment and an awards presentation are sure to capture the night. Ending the 90th Annual Convention with desserts, dancing and socializing with your FRSA friends is a great end to our annual event. So be sure to make your plans now to attend - you won't want to miss out on all this fun!

Thursday Kick-Off Luncheon - $55.00
Let the fun begin by joining us at our Kick-Off Luncheon. The Educational Foundation will also present its annual scholarship awards.
Friday Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon - $55.00
Elections for new FRSA Officers and Directors will be held, along with Life and Honorary Membership recognition, the Annual Meetings of the Association, Educational Foundation, Credit Union and Self Insurers Fund, and presentation of the Charlie Raymond Membership Award, the Earl Blank Memorial Service Award, the Bieler Family "Enthusiasm Gets It Done Award" and the President's Award.
Friday Night Cruise and Casino Party - $110.00
Step aboard the SS FRSA fantasy cruise and join us in our grand casino. Your cruise package includes a sumptuous buffet, drinks, gambling and entertainment. Come dressed comfortably in your cruise attire and join us on the lounge deck as the DJ gets this party rocking on the high seas. Ticket includes dinner, drinks various casino games and prizes.
Saturday Night Banquet & Reception - $100.00
The Grand Finale of the Convention is the annual Banquet, which follows an hour-long reception. FRSA's Officers for the coming year will be installed; the President's Award and the prestigious Campanella Award will be bestowed upon a deserving recipient. Wrap-up this four-day event with a video presentation, highlighting some of the more memorable moments at this year's convention. The Grand Prize will be presented to the winner and the winner of the Educational Foundation Raffle will be selected. Once dinner and the awards are over, desserts, dancing and socializing with your FRSA friends and family is a fun-filled memorable way to to end FRSA's 90th Annual Convention.

Thursday, June 28- Session #1 - Healthy Starts Here - Snack Attack - This session brings a Healthy Eating Specialist, from Whole Foods Market Orlando, to demonstrate and share not only a healthy snack but also a healthy dessert. With this group of FRSA spouses and guests you're sure to have a wonderful time. Price includes continental breakfast. $40
Friday, June 29 - Session #2 - Learning the Basics of Playing Craps - Be a part of the fun, come join in this session of "Learning the Basicss of Playing Craps". this is the time to learn how to "shoot craps" in this fun atmosphere and possibly win some prizes. Later that evening you can show off your new skills at the Cruise and Casino Party. Price includes continental breakfast. $40
Saturday, June 30 - Session #3 - Cabana Pool Day - This session starts with a continental breakfast poolside. By the pool and in the sun join in for a time of friendship and relaxation and some surprises to share. Price includes continental breakfast. $40

Thursday, June 28 - Session #1 - 8:30 am - 1:30 pm - Kids "R" Crafty and Much More - Come join the fun with Kids "R" Crafty and Much More. This supervised setting will surely result in an enjoyable day for the kids as they create their own arts and crafts projects. There will also be games for the group to enjoy, creating a fun time for all. Ticket price includes craft supplies, lunch and beverages. $40
Friday, June 29 - Session #2 - 8:30 am - 10:00 pm - SeaWorld Theme Park - A fun day in the park at SeaWorld. Whether coming face-to-face with Shamu, feeding a sea lion or riding Manta the kids are sure to enjoy the adventures. *Upon returning to the hotel, the kids will then participate in "Game Night". Must pre-register for this event. Ticket price includes park entrance ticket, transportation, lunch, snacks, dinner, beverages and "Game Night".
Friday, June 29 - Session #3 - 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm - Game Night - For those children not going to SeaWorld for the day, Game Night will be available at the Peabody Hotel. ticket price includes dinner and snacks.
Saturday, June 30 - Session #4 - 8:30 am - 1:30 pm - Peabody Pool Party - Add to the kids day of fun; have them join in for a "not your ordinary" pool party. Water falls and slide just makes for a fun poolside day full of water activities. Price includes lunch and prizes. $50
Saturday, June 30 - Session #5 - 5 - 11 pm - Dinner, Movies and Ice Cream Sundae Party - After a hard day of playing; the kids come together for a fun evening starting with dinner, and then enjoying movies and a making their own Ice Cream Sundae Party. Note: Licensed roofing, sheet metal and air conditioning contractors are required to earn 14 hours of continuing education credit per renewal cycle (two years). Within the 14 hours, they must meet six specific training requirements: (Adv) course meets Advanced Florida Building Code, (BSP) Business Practice, (G) General, (L&R) laws and rules, (WPS) Workplace Safety, (WC) Workers' Compensation, (WMM) Wind Mitigation credit. Excess hours cannot be carried to the next renewal cycle. All other hours are recorded as (G) General.
